$500 Gift Card Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions (the Terms) apply to the Gift Card (the Promotion). By entering the Promotion and/or applying for an Occupation Right Agreement (ORA) in connection with the Promotion, you are deemed to accept the Terms. In these Terms, Metlifecare retirement villages that are participating in this Promotion are referred to as “Metlifecare Villages.”

Promotional Period and Participating Villages

  1. The Promotion commences at 10:00am and ends at 2:00pm on the National Open Day on Saturday 3 May 2025 (the Promotional Period).
  2. The Promotion applies only to independent living units, including Serviced Apartments (each a "Participating Unit"), at any Metlifecare-operated retirement village (each a Participating Village and collectively, the Participating Villages).
  3. For the avoidance of doubt, the Promotion does not apply to Metlifecare care homes or Care Suites at the Participating Villages (each, an Excluded Unit).

Entry Requirements and Verification

  1. The Promotion is open to New Zealand citizens and permanent residents (an Eligible Entrant).
  2. To enter the prize draw, an Eligible Entrant must:
    1. Visit one or more of the Participating Villages during the Promotional Period.
    2. Complete one entry form per group. Only the interested prospect actively looking for an independent living unit or Serviced Apartment is eligible to enter.
    3. Eligible Entrants may visit multiple Participating Units, and each visit constitutes an additional entry, but no entrant may win more than once.
  3. All entries and attempted redemptions of persons who do not meet the above criteria will be deemed invalid.
  4. For the avoidance of doubt, the Promotion is not open to individuals who are:
    1. currently living in a retirement village
    2. enquiring about an Excluded Unit or an Excluded Village; and/or
    3. employees (or their immediate family members) of Metlifecare or a Metlifecare village.

Prize and Prize Draw Process

  1. One (1) gift card valued at $500.00 (Gift Card) will be awarded per Participating Village during the Promotional Period. The Gift Card will be for either Woolworths or Z Energy Limited.   2. A total of 36 Gift Cards will be awarded, with one (1) Gift Card to be allocated per Participating Village only.
  3. There will be one winner per Participating Village. Each winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received at the relevant Participating Village during the Promotional Period.
  4. The draw will take place on Thursday 8 May 2025 at Metlifecare, Level 4, 110 Carlton Gore Road, Newmarket, Auckland, New Zealand.
  5. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or other prizes.
  6. Winners will be notified on or after 8 May 2025 by email or phone, using the contact information provided at the time of entry.

General Terms

  1. The Promotion can be used in conjunction with the Resident Referral Promotion. Unless otherwise stated or agreed by us, the Promotion cannot be used in connection with any other discount, offer or promotion.
  2. Metlifecare reserves the right to disqualify any individual who provides false information, fails to provide information, or engages in any conduct that manipulates, interferes with, or otherwise attempts to unfairly influence the Promotion.
  3. To the full extent permitted by law, each Eligible Entrant agrees that Metlifecare, each Metlifecare Village and their employees, agents and representative shall not be liable for damages or losses of any kind arising from or related to participation in the Promotion, acceptance or use of a prize, or any related matters.
  4. All decisions made by the Metlifecare regarding the Promotion, including interpretations of these Terms, shall be final.
  5. Our Privacy Policy (https://www.metlifecare.co.nz/privacy-policy) applies to any personal information you submit to us in connection with the Promotion.
  6. References to “we,” “us,” “our” or “Metlifecare” means Metlifecare Limited of Level 4, 110 Carlton Gore Road, Newmarket, Auckland.
